Memoir 73, is a 451-page volume that represents a collection of
papers presented at the 1997 Hedberg Conference, which was held
in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, co-sponsored by AAPG and the Brazilian
Association of Petroleum Geologists (ABGP.
The book, edited by Marcio Mello and Barry J. Katz,
is being published jointly by AAPG and Petrobras.
The South Atlantic continental margins basins have
undergone a surge of exploration activity, fueled by recent giant
discoveries on both the South American and African margins.
The book contains:
- Descriptions of the petroleum geology of more than 12 basins
along the margins.
- Detailed discussion of the petroleum systems within the basins.
