Smith Voted President-Elect

been voted president-elect by the AAPG membership. He will serve
as AAPG president in 2002-03.

been voted president-elect by the AAPG membership. He will serve
as AAPG president in 2002-03.
Also elected were:

Donald W. Lewis, of Lafayette, Calif., formerly with Chevron,
vice president (one year term).

Charles J. Mankin, director of the Sarkeys Energy Center at
the University of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Geological Survey,
secretary (two-year term).

John C. Lorenz, of Sandia Laboratories in Albuquerque, N.M.,
AAPG elected editor (three-year term).
The new officers will assume their new duties on July 1, when Robbie
Gries, Denver independent, assumes the presidency.
Remaining on the committee is Edward B. Picou Jr., a consultant
in New Orleans, treasurer. Denver independent Edward Dolly will
serve on the Executive Committee as chairman of the House of Delegates.
