2005-06 AAPG Officers Elected

San Antonio geologist Lee Billingsley, of Abraxas Petroleum, has been voted president-elect by the AAPG membership. He will serve as AAPG president in 2006-07.

Also elected were:

  • Vice president -- Steven L. Veal, DCX Resources, Denver.
  • Secretary -- J. Michael Party, of Wagner & Brown Ltd., Midland, Texas.

All three will begin their duties on July 1, serving on an Executive Committee headed by Peter R. Rose as president.

Remaining on the committee are Dwight "Clint" Moore, who will complete the second of a two-year term as treasurer; and Ernest Mancini, of the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Ala., who will serve the second year of a three-year term.

Donald D. Clarke, consulting geologist of Lakewood, Calif., also will serve on the Executive Committee as chair of the House of Delegates.
