The
list of reasons why to attend APPEX London just got bigger.
APPEX London
— AAPG's successful Prospect and Property Expo — will be held
Feb. 17-20 in London, England, in conjunction with the Institute
of Petroleum's IP Week.
IP Week,
the focal annual meeting of international oil and gas industry professionals,
has as its theme this year "The Future of Oil and Gas as an Energy
Source" — so APPEX London offers a tremendous opportunity to feature
international prospects at a focused venue for potential investors
or partners.
And now,
APPEX offers even more.
In a collaborative
effort, AAPG and IP are organizing a one-day symposium, sponsored
by IHS Energy, on the global future of oil and gas exploration.
"Perspectives on the Upstream Business of Oil and Gas" will combine
IHS Energy's global insights to E&P trends and issues with those
of industry executives, including David K. Woodward, president of
BP Azerbaijan, who will present a Caspian perspective.
Other speakers
are expected to include representatives from Shell, ExxonMobil,
Yukos, TotalFinaElf Halliburton, Occidental and Saudi Aramco.
This innovative
forum will include sessions on regional business climates, strategies
for growth and issues and outlooks within the global upstream business
— with particular emphasis on the North Sea, Russia, the Caspian
Sea, Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Chairing
the symposium will be Wolfgang Schollnberger of BP and Jeff Aldrich
of Forest Oil International.
