AAPG/SEG Student
Expo, set Oct. 5-6 in Houston at Rice University and the Radisson

The two-day event is designed to connect geology
and geophysics students with industry representatives as well AAPG
and SEG leaders. Last year's event brought over 175 students together
with numerous recruiters from over 15 organizations.
Events include:
- An informal Icebreaker dinner.
- An optional one-day field course.
- A poster session for students to showcase their work.
- Interview opportunities with numerous majors, independents, contractors and environmental firms.
Participating companies also will present exhibits
that promote their activities and career opportunities, and will
have access to private interview space for use during the expo.
Sponsoring companies are provided with student resumes several weeks
prior to the expo and are encouraged to contact students ahead of
time to arrange interview schedules.
All students must submit a resume, and those students
wishing to participate in the poster session must also submit an
abstract.
The early registration deadline for students -- including
submission of resumes and abstracts -- is Sept. 5, and the early
registration fee is $15.
For details on sponsorship opportunities or on attending
the expo, go online to AAPG/SEG Student
Expo; or contact Donna Riggs at AAPG, (918) 560-2612; [email protected].
