It is not too late to be recognized
as one of AAPG's official recruiters and receive the flag of achievement.
Although we are in the final lap for the current
Membership Enhancement Program, our efforts to develop new members
and enhance benefits will not slow.
Each person who recruits a new member receives an
attractive AAPG desk flag, with lapel pins for those who recruit
three or more. Top recruiters in each Section and International
Region will be awarded 250 AAPG Dollars.
The top overall recruiter will receive a travel voucher,
four nights lodging and registration for the 2003
international meeting in Barcelona, Spain.
The top recruiter so far remains Kamil Idris, of
Talisman Energy, in Calgary, Canada.
The winner will be named at the AAPG Annual Meeting
in Salt Lake City.
Member Services manager Donna Riggs said kudos must
be given to David Campbell and his committee for the work they have
devoted to the campaign, which was launched in October. The MED
Committee continues to challenge headquarters staff and all members
to find and encourage potential members to join and participate,
at both local and international levels.
Each Section and Region has benefited by having additions
to their member totals. New members add to the talent pool, the
network potential and the professional community. They become potential
purchasers of goods and services that the association and societies
have to offer, with costs being lowered for all.
We will soon know the winners of the contest. Watch
for results in the June EXPLORER.
