Speeding Up the Digital Transformation

At Aramco, innovation is part of everything we do.

As part of our digital transformation, we recently launched Dammam 7, a new supercomputer in Saudi Arabia that is among the ten most powerful in the world. It comes with 55.4 petaflops of peak computing power, allowing us to process and image the world’s largest geophysical datasets.

Named after the first oil well we discovered, the Dammam 7 supercomputer uses sophisticated imaging and deep-learning algorithms to run very detailed 3D earth models.

The supercomputer will enhance decision-making by our exploration and production teams, improving our ability to discover and recover oil and gas while reducing risks.

It will also advance geoscience.

This supercomputer is just one element of our dedication to innovation.

In fact, Aramco has a dozen research centers around the world, meaning that our pursuit of breakthroughs never stops.

This global, collaborative environment gives our people opportunities to learn from colleagues from all over the world.

Working with us means making significant contributions to innovative projects addressing global energy challenges. And engineering, across all disciplines, is at the heart of what we do.
