The AAPG Venture Lab initiative is a first of its kind, cohort-based program designed to connect, collaborate, and empower the top ten finalists of the 2024 Sustainable Development in Energy Competition. It will help support them in building commercially scalable energy solutions and creating an opportunity to shape the future.

“With the quality of proposals submitted this year, this knowledge will transform the competition participants,” said Elvira Gomez, co-chair of the Sustainable Development Committee and team lead for Colombia at CNOOC International. “Julian (Chenin) and I are delighted to serve as program leads for the AAPG Venture Lab! Elevating the value of the Sustainable Development in Energy Competition is a step in the right direction, and we remain grateful to the AAPG Foundation for their support.”

The program is operated by PRO ALLY, an energy-focused communications and stakeholder management company. PRO ALLY will operate the AAPG Venture Lab program, focusing on deepening entrepreneurial knowledge across sustainable solutions in the energy sector. It will provide faculty-led coaching, industry collaboration, and investment readiness programs alongside an open demo day event for participants.
