New
plans, new strategies and a new sense of urgency are the driving forces
for the next APPEX London — an expo that promises to be a "must" for
all.
"APPEX" is
the AAPG Prospect and Property Expo, and the next international APPEX
will be March 2-4 at London's Paragon Hotel (at West Brompton).
For the past
two years, AAPG has worked to refine the London presentation of the
increasingly popular program. Working within the Institute of Petroleum's
IP Week program, AAPG has sought to discover what members wish to see
in a prospect and property exhibition.
The result?
APPEX London committee is working hard to dramatically recast the event's
format and vision.
APPEX London
will be a larger, more global marketplace for the exchange of oil and
gas prospects and producing properties, held within a comfortable business
atmosphere, making the most of attendee and exhibitor opportunities.
In conjunction
with the expo, there will be three days of "The Upstream Business Conference":
- The
first day is dedicated to Europe and the North Sea. Special emphasis
will be on the new promote license prospects (see related story, page
16) and ideas in the UK, along with new projects and perspectives
important to the industry in Europe.
- Days
two and three will see the IHS-sponsored Global Perspectives Forum
with current activities and future programs reviewed worldwide. Regional
discussions will focus on the Middle East, Russia, the Caspian, Asia,
Latin America and Africa (both Saharan and Sub-Saharan).
More programming
is being added and refined involving industry leaders in exploration.
As a member
in either AAPG or an endorsing organization (the Institute of Petroleum,
The Geological Society of London and the International Association of
Oil & Gas Producers), you will benefit from discounted registration
and/or booth fees.
A detailed
program, member registration and exhibition registration will be available
shortly from AAPG's and endorsing organizations' Web sites.
